Vintage Oak Floral Curtained Shoe Cupboard Shelving
£60.00
sold out
This is an unusual early form of shoe storage from the early 20th century. Prior to this period, the general population wouldn’t own enough shoes to warrant having a designated shoe cupboard!
The frame is made from oak. The back is a sort of chip board (possibly added later). The curtain fabric is a new replacement as the previous wasn’t worth saving. The fabric is very good quality thick cotton with details in the selvage.
The oak has a lot of overall patina and there’s some faint marks to the top and light scratches.
Width 80cm, Height 83cm, Depth 34cm.
