Small Georgian Plate Rack Oak Dresser
A late 18th century dresser. Well made with lots of character and though small, it offers ample storage.
The plate rack slots into place on the dresser, giving it some ridigity without being screwed or bracketed into place, though it’s always advised to bracket them too, to be extra safe.
There are three tiers of plate ridges to hold plates upright in place. There are also hand-forged iron hooks running along the top of the plate rack, one of these is a later replacement.
The dresser is in generally good strong condition with only typical wear and patina to the wood, including an old split to the base top where the wood has expanded somewhat over the centuries. The cupboard doors have their original working key.
