c.1980s interior scene in watercolour by Glenys Forster Wess. The scene includes a large modernist armchair which playfully contrasts with the more traditional style tea set laid out in front of it.

Glenys successfully exhibited her work in the 1960s-1990s, including an exhibition focussed on interiors, which is likely what this painting was intended for.

Her husband James was also a known artist, sculptor and teacher. There is little information readily available online about Glenys, but she spent much of her life in West Yorkshire.
