This hand-coloured lithograph is from Le Garde-Meuble, a bimonthly interior design periodical published in Paris in the mid 19th century.

Each publication consisted of a folio of loose prints with the names of designers and makers etc. They were considered influential and a valuable guide. As such, they were beautifully executed with great attention to detail and colour. They remain a valuable reference for 19th century decor as well as a standalone decorative object.

The paper has some signs of aging, faint brown spots, light wear to edges etc.
