This large embroidered silk section has been salvaged from what was once a beautifully elaborate piece of clothing, such as a shawl or robe. It’s from the early 20th century and the needlework quality is incredible with impeccable attention to detail and finish.

The embroidery is on black silk which does have some minor signs of wear, most notable is a small hole towards one corner. Otherwise it’s in good condition, especially considering its age and delicacy.

The gilt frame is from the mid to late 20th century.
