A nice example of a good quality vintage chair with a Georgian inspired silhouette and details. Including elegant front feet adorned with clam shells.

The chair has at some time been upholstered in a Liberty print fabric. The design is called Mildenhall and doesn’t look to have had a long production run. The fabric is an unusual type of waxed cotton, giving it a soft sheen in the light.

The fabric has worn through on the edges on the wings and there are a couple of other small areas of wear.
