Original figurative drawing by artist James Henry Wess. Wess was born in Liverpool in 1933. He attended Liverpool College of Art, his first solo exhibition was at The Manor House, Ilkley.

He was primarily a sculptor but worked in many other mediums. Many of his early work is heavily driven by his interest in sculpture and ceramic design.

This drawing is in pastel with some small details in pen.
