c.1900. Very similar to a William Morris design sold in Libertys with the elongated carved spindles. It would have originally had a rush seat but has been reupholstered with a cushioned fabric seat in a Victorian style Paisley brocade.

The chair has a repair on the underneath but is sturdy and useable.
